Virtual-Turbo is back!

Well I have to say, the outpouring of support to keep Virtual-Turbo going was overwhelming. I didn't even realize there were that many regular readers of the site. Let me just say first off that all of the kinds words and support has been very flattering. To be honest with you, I hated to see the site go. I've enjoyed working on Virtual-Turbo ever since day one. The TurboGrafx-16 and PC Engine systems have always been special to me and now I look forward to many more Turbografx-16 Virtual Console releases now that Hudson has remembered that North America still exists. We have three new Turbografx-16 titles on tap for July including: Break In, Chase H.Q., and the outstanding cute 'em up Star Parodier. To celebrate the resurrection of Virtual-Turbo I've completely updated the look of the site from the ground up. I've tried to make it not only more attractive, but also more functional. I'll get previews up for the three new titles tomorrow and I hope everyone enjoys the site as much now as ever. Again, thanks for the support and kind words. It makes it all worth it!

Interview with Brian Fehdrau

I was lucky enough to catch up with Brian Fehdrau, lead programmer for the Super Nintendo RPG Secret of Evermore, and he was nice enough to do an exclusive interview for SUPER-NES.COM. This is probably the best interview I've ever done and Brian was very candid with his answers. If you're a fan of Secret of Evermore, you should definitely check this one out. There's a lot of interesting information in the interview that I didn't know, even some for those who still think Secret of Evermore is the reason that US Super Nintendo owners didn't get the true sequel to Secret of Mana. Click on the logo above to head over to the full interview. Enjoy!

"Spot the Shot" Contest Winner!

Congratulations to Shawn Delk for being the first one to correctly identify the Twisted Tales of Spike McFang screenshot and the Rabite that had snuck its way into the shot. You just can't trust those wascally wabites. I received 73 guesses, many not even close. Congrats go out to Steve from RVGFANATIC and Jeffx for their correct guesses as well. I'll be adding in some Super Famicom rpg titles over the coming weeks, so keep checking the guide if you're interested in them. Again, thanks for all the kind words about the RPG Guide. Who knows, maybe I'll do another Super Nintendo Buyer's Guide in the near future. You just never know. : )

Super Nintendo RPG Buyer's Guide

Well after months of work and research, the guide is finally finished. There was a time when I wondered if this thing would ever be done. Between playing the games, locating information, and scanning box art it seemed at times, like I wasn't making any progress at all. To those who have been requesting this and waiting around while I finished it, thanks for your patience. I hope the wait was worth it. And to those who are wondering where the Super Famicom RPGs are, I'm going to be adding them to the guide in the near future. Keep checking back. I've gotta take a short break from this guide before I go insane. : ) ENJOY!

Super Nintendo RPG fans...

If you're a fan of Super Nintendo RPGs, you should keep your eyes on the blog over the next week. I've been working on a special since back in December and it's finally nearing completion. I think fans of SNES RPGs will enjoy it. It's been a lot of hard work and research but judging from the way it looks already, I'd say it was well worth it. And to top things off just right, there's going to be a contest that goes along with this new feature. That's right, I'm giving away my Earthbound cartridge to one lucky winner. Everyone knows I'm not a big fan of the game so I've decided to unload it on the winner of the contest. I'll have more details once the feature is ready to go. Keep checking back here to find out more.
