English Star Ocean cartridge review

I got in the Star Ocean English cartridge today and I'm still stunned that this thing actually worked. I had pretty much made up my mind that there was no way someone would be able to get this game to work in a tranlated format and having to use the S-DD1 chip that Star Ocean uses to decompress the graphic files. I've been playing the game for about 7 hours and so far this things has performed flawlessly. I even opened it up and snapped some pics if anyone wants to check it out. And no, it's not for sale. : ) You hear that Kerdick? I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist. Click on the pic to visit the article on super-nes.com.

Secret of Mana 2 Cartridge

That's right boys and girls. I finally got my hands on one of the English versions of Seiken Densetsu 3 that have been floating around for the past few months and I put it through its paces to see if this cart was all that it was cracked up to be. I've logged about 18 hours into the game and I've also completely taken it apart and checked it over from top to bottom to find out how it's made and how reliable it likely is. If you're a fan of Seiken Densetsu 3, or Secret of Mana 2 as the cartridge labels says, then you need to check this out. I've got an English version Star Ocean cartridge that should be here any day now and I'll also have a special on it as well. Click on the picture above to check out the special on www.super-nes.com.

Retro Duo - Super NES/NES Clone

After seeing this new Super Nintendo/NES clone making its rounds around amazon and ebay, I just had to grab one and check it out for the super-nes.com web site. I wrote up a fairly in-depth review for the system. If you're looking to grab one of these, don't forget to check out the review before you buy one. You'll be glad you did. And no this unit will not play the PAL version of Terranigma. I guess I'm going to have to keep my modded Super NES system around for a little while longer. Click on the picture of the Retro Duo to visit the review. And don't forget to check out the new and improved WWW.SUPER-NES.COM site. I've given it a complete makeover...AGAIN! : )
